About The Solvents Company
The Solvents is an international theatre Company (Klaus Kruse - Germany, Dmitry Paranyushkin - Russia, Celine Smith - France-UK, Dani d’Emilia - Brasil-Italy) founded and based in Dartington College of Arts, UK since 2003.
They devise events that take the shape of:
• Live art walkabouts (Man and his tiger - streets and parties 2005-06)
• Sensorial theatre in the round performances (Leviathan - 2005-06/ Judges’ commendation for Soundscape at NSDF 06 and Klaus Kruse won Director’s Guild Award)
• Dance-Theatre with Live Experimental Music (Free Range - performed in Night Clubs, Beach promenades, Avignon Fringe in Europe in 2004)
• Internet projects (www.paranoiac.info - refuge for paranoids and www.freakzoo.info - database of human characters)
• Video series (The life skills volumes - a DIY video guide on how to do anything in this world 2004-06)
• Games (The Google game and the Face game - a great way to spend time with friends!)
• and a Spiritual Workshop-Seminar (The Cosmic Family)!
In their work The Solvents combine traditional and contemporary theatre, dance, music, and a variety of performance styles to create diverse facets of physical performance that thrills, touches, and engages the audience into the world of imagination, dreams, and theatrical fiction.
